ASBESTOS ABATEMENT

ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES
When remodeling older homes, it is important to determine whether or not the materials contain asbestos.
Some of the most common culprits include floor tile, sheet flooring (linoleum), HVAC duct insulation, ceiling tiles, soundproofing material, drywall compound, textured paint, and some roofing materials; however, this is not an exhaustive list.
Our team of abatement technicians can facilitate testing for asbestos and if the results are positive, safely remove any contaminated materials.
HEALTH CONCERNS
Asbestos is only harmful if it is disturbed. When disturbed, asbestos fibres are released into the air and can lead to asbestosis and cancer.
Exposure to asbestos can cause mesothelioma, a very serious and aggressive form of cancer that attacks the chest and abdomen.
MOULD REMEDIATION

MOULD REMEDIATION SERVICES
If you suspect that there is mould in your home or business, our team can facilitate the appropriate testing. If mould is discovered, our remediation teams can handle the removal safely and in accordance with recommendations from WorksafeBC. Our highest priority is the safety of occupants and our staff.
HEALTH CONCERNS
Mould can start growing within 48 hours and make anyone who inhales the spores very sick. Exposure can also occur through physical touch or ingestion. Prolonged exposure can have even more severe health effects.
Typical symptoms are often mistaken for allergies, including sinus congestion, coughing, sore throat, difficulty breathing, skin or eye irritation, and respiratory infections.
Infants, children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems or respiratory conditions may be more susceptible to these health effects.
